Under the Macroeconomic Reforms/Green Growth Programme – SDGs component, GIZ supports the GoV in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in the country. The aim of this project is to accelerate the implementation of NAP 2030 and building a transformative recovery from COVID-19 to deliver on the VSDGs by 2030. The Department of Science, Education, Natural Resources and Environment (DSENRE) has cooperated with GIZ to develop Reports on: (i) Recommendations To Improve Vietnam’s SDG Ranking By 2025 and (ii) Feasibility Study on Developing a web-based information system to facilitate data collection processes with ministries and visualize SDG indicators online.
To improve the quality of the above-mentioned reports, GIZ is supporting DSENRE to organize a consultation workshop to collect expert opinions to finalize the draft reports before the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) carry out formal consultations with relevant stakeholders.
The workshop was hosted by the Department of Science, Education, Natural Resources and Environment under the Ministry of Planning and Investment and organized in the form of a hybrid event. Delegates who are experts, officials from state agencies, international organizations, research organizations attended and contributed ideas and opinions to develop two draft reports for consulting groups including Vietnamese and international experts. In the near future, two reports will be completed for the Ministry of Planning and Investment to officially consult with key stakeholders.
